Nawaloka hospital is situated in the heart of Colombo city – A kilometer away from the business centre and few minutes drive from National Hospital of Sri Lanka. Nawaloka Hospital was established in1985, fulfilling a long felt need of a high technology health care center at an affordable cost. The first CT Scanner and Mammography units in Sri Lanka were installed at Nawaloka Hospital eliminating the need for the Sirlanka to go abroad for most types of treatment.
Nawaloka medical team compromises of highly Qualified Consultants, Physicians, Surgeons, Anesthetists and well trained Nursing Staff. Efficient administrators ensure the smooth running of the day-today activities of the hospital working in a computerized atmosphere.

Nawaloka Hospitals have many ‘firsts’ to their credit. Introduction of Intensive care units, Coronary Care Units, Laparoscopic Surgery and Thoracic Surgery are some of them. Within a short span like a decade the bed strength has been trebled from 100 beds in 1985 to 300 in 1994.
