Desroches

Desroches stands majestically on a submerged atoll, 230 kilometres southwest of Mahé, and is the most eastern island in the Amirantes group. It is 6km long and 1.5km wide at its widest point.

Encircled by 14kms of white sand and surrounded by about 70 kilometres of reef just waiting to be explored the island drops some 2000 metres into the clear blue water teeming with abundant fish life. Big game fishing is excellent but Desroches is considered one of the best diving areas in the Indian Ocean. Some 14 sites with attractions such as chimneys, tunnels, canyons and caves will entertain all levels of divers.
